i love modern pastels because of the lovely, delicate colors in fabulous, edgy styles - for example, take the peachy-pink studded resin bangle: the style screams "don't mess with me," but the color daintily says "i'm a hopeless Austenite/romantic stuck in 2011."
(don't you enjoy the elements of interpretation and subjectivity?)
anyway, i feel that these colors would be fabulous transitional spring-summer colors (think about that baby blue with a tan... spring break, maybe?) and - drumroll please - they don't make you look like the dreaded pastel easter egg or an impressionistic painter's easel-holder or paint-mixer - all of which we typically try to avoid when attempting pastels.
so in addition to all those bolds and brights you're buying (per my suggestions, of course) to complete your wardrobe, leave a little space for some delicate french-macaroon-tinted lovelies for those breezy, almost-summer days.
happy friday!
(obviously, this is tomorrow's post since i'm going to be crazy-busy!)
love,
katy
