so i feel like leather skirts get a bad rap for being trashy, too tight, and all that, and i just wanted to take a second to combat that. see these bad boys up here? they're all leather. (check out the bronze one! fabulous, no?) i want to showcase the fashionable versatility of this lovely accessory in order to redeem its bad reputation. so here goes :)
the first outfit is a chill, tiffany's-hued stunner meant for school and play, complete with warm fuzzy sweater and comfy shoes (minnetonkas!). the paper-bag-waist skirt and loose fit make this skirt a winner.
the second is a little more dressy and hippie-hued, but i felt like the stiffness of the pleated skirt could get too prim with a blouse and pumps; i thought the cool blue against the fiery bronze was a nice contrast, and the tee and flats are a much more comfortable choice during the day.
finally, this punky twist on the traditional leather mini is cheeky and fun for an evening out. the heels are insane (thank you, sam edelman, thank you very, very much) and aid in showcasing the miles of leg between the heels and the skirt, but the proper, feminine shirt, girly pearls, and prissy purse make pretty additions to the glitzy lower half.
